WHO WE ARE
I joined the ARC Team in March 2012. My amazing wife, Krista, is a stay at home mom to our four children - Karynna, Josiah, Micah, and Annika.
Hobbies: I love to play most any sport - especially racquetball, softball, and basketball.
Movies: I enjoy watching sports movies. Some of my favorites include - Cinderella Man, Facing the Giants, Glory Road, Invincible, Miracle, Remember the Titans, The Greatest Game Ever Played, and Rudy.
Books: I like different kinds of fiction and non-fiction books. I'm always looking for recommendations. A couple of my favorites are: An Unstoppable Force (Erwin McMannus) and I Became a Christian and All I Got was This Lousy T-Shirt (Vince Antonnuci)
Favorite Music: I listen to Chris Tomlin, Aaron Shust, Casting Crowns, Matt Redman, Newsboys, David Crowder and Steven Curtis Chapman (the very first Contemporary Christian artist I began to listen to way back in college).
Things to Note: It's been said that I have a slight obsession with Duke Basketball (both men's and women's). I'm also known to be a big promoter of Dr. Pepper. Anyone who hears me speak will notice that I like to find ways to slip them in as illustrations.
Life Verse: But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us. (Romans 5:8)

Family Ministries Director
My wife, Sarah, and I both grew up in the area and love living here. I graduated from Dordt College in 2010 and volunteered in the youth program at Living Water while working for Hope Haven and Bomgaars in Orange City. Sarah works in the X-Ray department at the Orange City Hospital. We were blessed with our daughter Jaelynn in August of 2012. I joined the team at Alton Reformed in July of 2013.
We both love being with youth and exploring with them God's purpose for their lives. We were richly blessed with a community of support around us while growing up. We strive to create an environment where youth are encouraged and equipped to live out their faith in every aspect of life.
Hobbies: I enjoy fishing, golfing, boating and taking walks with my wife and daughter.
Movies: Sandlot, Remember the Titans, Batman Trilogy.
Books: I don't read a lot of fiction but I have enjoyed reading the Hunger Games and Chronicles of Narnia.
Music: Some of my favorites are Mumford and Sons, The Fray, Casting Crowns, Hawk Nelson, DC Talk
Food: I love ice cream. I am also learning how to smoke meat and enjoy it so far.
Since I was a little girl, my heart has been to pursue ministry in bringing hope to a broken world. After I graduated high school, I moved to Baton Rouge, Louisiana for three years to complete Healing Place School of Ministry and their internship program. I then moved back in Alton and joined the ARC Team in August 2016.
My vision for the future is to move to Africa to educate, disciple, and provide daily care for children and families.
Hobbies: I love to play piano, write music, photography, garden and read. Traveling is also one of my biggest passions.
Music: I love just about every genre of music except for country. My favorite artists would be United Pursuit, Skillet, Bethel Worship, Spoken, Fred Hammond, Israel Houghton, and Andy Mineo.
Books: Some of the best books I've read would be Redeeming Love by Francine Rivers, All In by Mark Batterson, and my favorite Theologian would be Oswald Chambers and his writings of My Utmost for His Highest.
Highlights of 2017: Since it's the beginning of a new year, I'm planning highlights for this year to come! My biggest goal is to go to Africa this May with the ministry Children's Cup and help with community outreach.
